This depends on your carrier and benefits. Another factor to consider is if you have met your deductible as even if you have coverage, you may still have to pay for services until the deductible is met. Your insurance carrier can provide you with more in-depth information regarding your coverage.
The short answer is no. I work with individuals who are religious and nonreligious and individuals who believe in God and who identify as agnostic and atheist.
Sessions are guided by what aspect of spirituality the directee would like to focus on during that session.
This will depend on your availability and your needs. Session frequency can vary from once a week to once a month.
You will download the Simple Practice app on your phone/computer. You will need a camera with a microphone. Sessions are similar to Skype or FaceTime but they are on a secure platform to protect your privacy.
Treatment is confidential. Your privacy is important and we will discuss the limits of confidentiality. Some standard limits include child/vulnerable adult abuse, you or someone else is in danger, court order, or you have given consent for me to share your information with others.
I do not prescribe medication. For medication, you will need to speak with your primary care physician or locate a psychiatrist.
In order to respect your confidentiality, I will not acknowledge you, but you are welcome to say hello to me if you choose.
There is no guarantee of how long therapy will last. There are too many factors that can come into play for us to say a set length of time. Some individuals are in treatment for a few sessions while others are in treatment for years depending on their needs and symptoms.
Many people have found therapy to be beneficial in their lives. However, simply attending sessions will not likely lead to significant improvement in symptoms. Symptom improvement often requires the client to challenge themselves to both engage in sessions and take what is discussed in session and apply it to their lives.
Contact me by phone at (352) 658-5500 or by email at riverswellness@hushmail.com. You can also send a message through your Simple Practice account. Baring emergencies, you will be charged a $50 fee if sessions are missed or cancelled in less than 24 hours.
I welcome feedback as I want to provide quality care. I will check in with you throughout treatment to determine if we are meeting your needs/goals. You can provide feedback during sessions or by email if that is easier for you. If you choose to post feedback online, please remember that this will violate your confidentiality.
